Editorial Team

The editorial team of the JHTR is composed of several complementary roles, each contributing to the journal’s quality, integrity, and development:

  • The Editors-in-Chief are responsible for the overall editorial vision, policy, and academic integrity of the journal, making final decisions on submissions and overseeing the review process.
  • The Managing Editor coordinates the day-to-day editorial workflow, ensures timely communication between editors, reviewers, and authors, and safeguards consistency across editorial practices.
  • The Editorial Assistants support the Managing Editor by assisting with administrative tasks and providing copyediting support.
  • The Associate Editors are entrusted with handling submissions of research articles and student essays, guiding them through the peer review process, and making recommendations for final decisions; reviews and book symposia are managed by a dedicated Book Review Editor. The Editors-in-Chief and the Managing Editor work closely with the Associate Editors and convenes 3–4 times per year to evaluate the journal’s editorial workflow, quality standards, and ongoing development.
  • The Editorial Advisory Board provides strategic advice to the Editors-in-Chief and Managing Editor, helps promote the journal within academic and professional communities, and supports its growth and visibility by identifying new opportunities and relevant developments in the field. The board members do not carry any responsibilities and never act as handling editor for submissions.
