Vol. 4 No. 3 (2026): EUROCONTROL PRC 2025 Data Challenge

This special issue presents research outcomes from the EUROCONTROL Performance Review Commission 2025 Data Challenge, which invited data scientists to develop open machine learning models to predict fuel consumption at specific flight intervals. By pairing flight segment data with corresponding fuel burn measurements, this challenge addresses a core problem in sustainable aviation research. The challenge ran from October 1 to November 30, 2025, provided participants with real-world aviation data combining ACARS trajectories and ADS-B data sourced from the OpenSky Network. 

All accepted papers in this special issue have undergone the same rigorous open peer review process as those in regular issues.
