Open position in JCHS editorial board
The Journal of Coastal and Hydraulic Structures (JCHS - https://journals.open.tudelft.nl/jchs/) is a completely free, diamond open-access, and community-based journal launched in 2021. Its mission is to publish high level research and engineering results focused on coastal and hydraulic structures. All papers are rigorously peer-reviewed in a double-blind fashion.
JCHS is headed by a team of editors, each of which makes final decisions about the papers that are handled by them, who enforce conformity of quality and formatting, and assign reviewers. In editorial meetings selected review results and decisions are discussed amongst the editorial board to obtain and sustain a common quality baseline. The Editors represent a variety of geographic regions and academic and professional disciplines contributing significantly to the journal. The many Associate Editors are also experts in their fields and serve as 'ambassadors' and (frequent) reviewers for the journal.
JCHS is currently looking for a new editor active in the field of hydraulic structures. The position of editor is open to engineers/researchers who demonstrate a good level of scientific publication over the last 5 to 10 years, with at least one or more first author papers. Diversity in location, age, gender, etc. within the editorial board will also be considered.
The successful candidate is invited to commit to a 4-year term, with the possibility of renewal.
Applications (letter of motivation + CV) are to be sent before 29 January 2024 to jchs@tudelft.nl.
