Special Issue: hEART Symposium 2024

The annual Symposium of the European Association for Research in Transportation (hEART) is a key event that since 2012 brings together top experts and young researchers in order to advance scientific research in transport systems and mobility. As a highly competitive conference, hEART maintains rigorous academic standards in the frame of a thorough peer-review process by experts in the field. Among the papers accepted for presentation at the 13th Symposium hosted by Aalto University (Finland) in 2024, a number of outstanding contributions were identified as worthy of publication in a Special Issue organized by the EJTIR. The respective authors were then invited to submit an extended version of their papers to this Special Issue. After peer review evaluation according to EJTIR’s high publishing standards, papers that advance the field of transport science were accepted for publication.
