pilgrimage: refugio

Refugio

bell towers have been silenced

stone piles flattened out

leaving an empty network behind

 

two colored stripes,

compete

within the City of Signs

 

I take shelter along these routes

drawing and sketching upon their lines.

When living and working in the South of Limburg, the Maastricht area, one is closely connected to the network of European Pelgrim routes. Both architecture studio’s I participate in occupy a former vacant building along their trails.
