all the lazy lens offers

for light

the (wounded) skin of the eyes

grows number

with time

scar tissue

immune to excitement

and cries

people have died, in great numbers

bullet hole constellations

on sides

the (tired) skin of the eyes

grows softer

with time

scar tissue

relaxed and depleted

and wise

for understanding, compassion

faced with tombs and monuments

it shines
